I used to be a fan of thick, fully loaded burgers with all the toppings. That was until I discovered 7th Street Burger in NYC. Their menu is refreshingly simple, offering only smash burgers with the choice of single or double patties, and a vegan or regular meat option. This simplicity is exactly what makes them so incredibly delicious.
When I moved to Houston, I mourned my close relationship with 7th Street Burger. I never thought I'd find a burger that good nearby again. Then I discovered Trill Burger, a smash burger joint run by legendary rapper Bun B. It has a simple menu, much like 7th Street, with a twist that makes it unique.
This burger is an homage to both 7th Street and Trill Burger. I took the onions from 7th St. and the pickles from Trill burger and combined them to make my perfect craving. I hope you make some for yourself this weekend!
